The Leader Guide Coaching Process

Our process to coach business owners.

the coaching process

One of the most challenging things about growing a small business is staying focused on the big picture and not getting stuck in the day-to-day details. As your business grows it can become more complex and demanding. But in order to have build a healthy and sustainable business, you need spend more time working on your business than you do in it.

That’s why we created a simple 3-step process to coach business owners through the different stages of growth.

This process helps you solve problems in your business in a way that’s sustainable and scaleable — so that you can enjoy more freedom and flexibility as you grow.

When you use this process with a Leader Guide Coach, you will..

• Uncover problems early on

• Find ways to optimise your business

• Empower your team to succeed

• Protect yourself from burnout

• Enjoy more freedom and flexibility

Let's explore it at a high-level:

Step 1 - Observe

The first step is to step back and pause long enough to observe what’s working and not working in your business.

Mindsets: Reflective, awareness, curious, learning

Key Questions:

  • What's causing the most stress?

  • What am I hearing myself and others saying?

  • What's the bigger picture here?

  • What am I trying to achieve?

Next Steps:

  • Check-in with your Coach regularly

  • Identify bottlenecks and stress-points

  • Prioritise what’s important

Step 2 - Optimise

Once we've clarified the problems we can start finding ways forward that align with our goals.

Mindsets: Growth, creative, optimistic, flexible,

Key Questions:

  • How can we improve the system/process?

  • How can we communicate better as a team?

  • What tools or frameworks can we leverage?

Next Steps:

  • Align your people and resources

  • Create an action-plan with desired results

  • Install time-saving frameworks

  • Seek expert advice and solutions

Step 3 - Offload

The last step in the loop is to empower others to implement the changes required for your business to continue growing without relying solely on you. This frees you up to lead at a high-level and develop other leaders to drive overral performance.

Mindsets: Empowering, responsible, leadership, abundance

Key Questions:

  • Is this my best use of my time?

  • Who can be trained to do this?

  • Am I coaching or micromanaging?

  • Can this be automated instead of delegated?

Next Steps:

  • Automate, delegate and eliminate

  • Assign clear roles and responsibilities

  • Develop leaders in your team

  • Reclaim your time and focus

At Leader Guide, we walk you through this repeatable process during each coaching session to help you build a great business that provides you with a terrific life.
